[ Sif is equal parts surprised and relieved. She hadn't expected Val to show up so quickly, but she is really glad that she did. She wants to get this over with, and in all honesty she needs a friend. ]

I have known them both since I was a child. I considered them both my friends, though I was always much closer with Thor. Loki is now of the opinion that we were never friends at all. He has tried to kill me in the past, and when he was impersonating Odin... well, I was one of his warriors, and so I did his bidding.

[ To think of it now makes her stomach churn with humiliation. ]

He sent me on missions, and if I am to be honest I suspect he would not have minded if I did not come back from them alive. I do not think he feels any remorse for these things, and unlike Thor I have very little reason to wish for a reconciliation, since he has renounced any past fondness there may have been between us.

I am not telling you this because I want you to choose a side, you should simply know that this is how things stand.
